Colin Montgomerie praises 'tremendous' 2012 Golf Live event at London Golf Club

The London Golf Club is returning to some degree of normality after hosting the 2012 Golf Live event, the highlight of which was an attempt to break the record for the fastest-ever round of golf.
Radio personality Chris Evans organised the team golf challenge that narrowly missed out on the world record, but claimed a new British record after playing 18 holes of golf in less than 11 minutes.
Other activities included clinics from some of the biggest games in golf including South Afrian legend Gary Player and Ryder Cup captain Colin Montgomerie (pictured).
‘Monty’, one of the event’s ambassadors, said: "Golf Live is a tremendous event and I think it’s bringing the golfing public into the game of golf. For golfers to come here and see the interaction between the pros and the general public is fantastic."
