Gravesend firm Chic Weddings and Events is offering a free wedding giveaway in support of the NHS as health service staff battle against the coronavirus outbreak.
The wedding firm based in Lion Business Park, Dering Way, announced on its Facebook page this week that it would be offering a free wedding and bridal gown to an "NHS hero" nominated by the public.
They wrote: "We at Chic love and appreciate our NHS so much and can't imagine how hard it must be for the workers right now! That's why we want to give away a wedding to YOUR NHS HERO!!!"
The winner will receive a bridal bouquet designed especially for them, bridesmaids bouquets, buttonholes, full ceremony decor – including aisle runner, lanterns, petals, canopy trees/arch, centrepieces, top table florals, chair dressings, and velvet or sequin table linen.
The competition was further bolstered by Victoria's Bridal Boutique, which is offering a bridal gown worth up to £1,500.
All entrants have to do is tag their NHS hero in the post and tell Chic why they deserve to win.
The winners will be announced on Monday, April 6.
The company added: "Good luck and thank you to all our NHS, we love you!"
Speaking to Kent Online, owner Laurie Edwards said the idea came from her work colleagues, adding: "We didn't know what to do. We can't cook but what we can do is put together really good weddings. We thought there were so many inspiring people in the NHS doing amazing things and we wanted to say thank you.
"It wasn't about likes on our Facebook page, we just wanted the public to have a place where they can thank their friend or family member or a nurse they know – just to give a platform for them.
"We were amazed at the amount of entries and inspiring things that are on there. We've had 64 comments on Facebook and 227 on Instagram. It's just incredible."
