Passengers can now buy bus tickets using contactless payments, thanks to a multi-million pound investment from Arriva.
The fast, easy and secure system provides travellers with a variety of ways to pay, including debit and credit cards, as well as Apple and Android Pay.
Buses in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and surrounding areas will all benefit from the new system, which went live yesterday.
To mark the launch of contactless payments, and eco-friendly vehicles on the 480 and 490 routes, Arriva held an event at Bluewater on Friday.
Speaking at the event, Simon Loh, managing director for Arriva Southern Counties, said: "The new technology will create a faster, easier and more convenient way to pay for our customers, which in turn will help to speed up boarding time and improve the customer experience."
Contactless payments are now also accepted in Medway, Maidstone, Swale and Sheppey.
