Residents were forced to evacuate their flat after a fire broke out this morning.
A smoke detector raised the alarm when the blaze started in the kitchen of the home in Dene Hold Road, Northfleet, at about 7.40am.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire.
Smoke had spread through the flat and crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke.
