The transfers of striker Michael Gash and defender Darius Charles from Ebbsfleet to York have fallen through.
Ebbsfleet's website owners had agreed to accept an £80,000 bid for the pair and the deal was expected to be completed on Monday.
But Charles decided not to go through with the deal after being unhappy about moving from London to York.
York, who have also signed Neil Barrett from Fleet this week, are still interested in recruiting Gash.
However, a new offer will have to be made that will be voted on by the club's owners.
