There are delays on a major route this morning following an earlier accident.
The emergency services were called to the A2 near Dartford just after 6.30am.
The incident was between Junction 1 of the M2 at Strood and Bean.
Highways England said: "There is one lane blocked on the A2 London bound between M2 J1 and B255 Bean Lane due to an RTC. Please approach with caution and allow extra time for your journey."
Queues have been stretching back to Junction 2 of the M2 for the A229 to Chatham and Maidstone.
The Highways England Map shows non-moving traffic between Junction 1 of the M2 and the A227 at Gravesend, and slow moving traffic along large sections of the road.
It is on a day when more people may be on the roads, choosing to get to London by car instead of train because of the Tube strikes.
Highways England said traffic was expected to clear from 7.30am.
