Hartley Players have donated the profits from their shows to causes including a carers' cafe and community support in West Kingsdown, New Ash Green, Longfield and Hartley.
The amateur dramatic association puts on two shows each year – in March and November – at Hartley Village Hall, Ash Road, in Hartley.
For their November production of Entertaining Angels, by Richard Everett, they chose to support The Carers Café charity in Hartley.
The Players raised £1,000 for the small community initiative, which allows carers and bereaved carers to attend a cafe twice a month at the Wellfield Community Hall for refreshments, advice and support.
Publicity officer Margaret Bown said: "Our donation meant so much to them and the carers themselves will decide how they would like the money to be spent on treats to lift their spirits
Hartley Players also supported The Community Cupboard, following their March production of Something’s Afoot by James McDonald, David Vos and Robert Gerlach.
The Community Cupboard is a registered charity supporting the local communities of West Kingsdown, New Ash Green, Longfield and Hartley.
