Drugs ring smashed

Four people have been jailed for their part in running a cocaine supply network in Gravesend.
Various addresses throughout the borough were raided and drugs worth more than £83,000 seized.
Scales, bags and 11 wraps of cocaine were taken from Christian Bennett, 20, of Malvina Avenue. Phillipa Jackson, 22, of Waterdales, Northfleet and Larisa Wild, 22, of Thalia Court, Gravesend, were also found with various drugs paraphernalia and coke with a street value of £43,365.
A van found near Ruffets Wood, Gravesend was stuffed with more than £30,000 worth of the Class A drug. Its owner, Peter Glisson, 25, of Allington Drive, Strood, later handed himself in to police.
Each of the four defendants pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, at earlier hearings at Maidstone Crown Court.
Bennett pleaded guilty on 24 April, Wild and Glisson on 15 May a
They were sentenced to a total of just over 11 years' imprisonment.
Peter Glisson was sentenced to five years, Christian Bennett four years, Phillipa Jackson to 15 months and Larisa Wild, to 12 months’ imprisonment.
