An EastEnders and Strictly star is set to open a revamped village convenience store this weekend.
Jake Wood who plays Max Branning in the BBC soap will be cutting the ribbon at the Meopham Costcutter's grand reopening.
The shop in The Parade, Meopham, has doubled in size after extending into the former letting agency, Walker Croft, next door and has undergone a half a million pound refit.
As part of the celebrations the first 100 customers into the store will have the chance to win vouchers and prizes and will receive a Co-op goodie bag.
There will also be face painting and an opportunity to taste test some locally-sourced products including Rowcliffe’s cheeses and meats, Shicken, Kent Down Dairy Milk and Meopham wines.
The strictly semi-finalist will be at the store from 10am to 11am on Saturday, January 15.
