Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish is urging the club's MyFootballClub members to vote to accept a joint offer of £80,000 for Michael Gash (pictured) and Darius Charles.

The club involved have asked to remain anonymous, but should the offer be accepted they would pay Ebbsfleet £40,000 immediately and a further £40,000 next January 2010. In addition, Ebbsfleet would receive 20 per cent of any sell on transfer fee for either player.

And, as far as Daish is concerned, it's an offer too good to refuse in view of Ebbsfleet's current financial pressure.

The Fleet are likely to fall well short of their £7,000 a week target despite donations from members in recent weeks, which have taken the budget to around £4,500.

A joint statement between Daish, the Fleet board and the club's accountant states: "Retaining Gash and Charles would mean that the rest of the squad has to be built with around £3,000 per week. If Gash and Darius are sold it would mean the weekly playing budget increases to around £6,250, giving Liam Daish a fighting chance of building a squad capable of surviving in the Blue Square Premier League next season."

MyFootballClub members have until midday on Wednesday to register their vote.
