Ebbsfleet have received a second big-money offer for one of their star players.

The Fleet's Blue Square Premier rivals York have bid £10,000 for defender Darius Charles, who only joined the club in January from Brentford.

The move comes just 24 hours after Fleet striker Michael Gash was the subject of a £30,000 bid from an unnamed Blue Square Premier club.

Charles, who has made 53 appearances for the Fleet after originally joining on loan, was named the club's player of the season last month.

Fleet boss Liam Daish knows a sale of his top players will free up much-needed cash for his weekly budget but will reduce the club's chances of avoiding relegation.

Ebbsfleet's MyFootballClub owners have until 9.45am on Thursday to cast their vote on the Charles offer.
