Ebbsfleet United may call on fans to help get Altrincham game on

Ebbsfleet are set to host Altrincham in Blue Square Premier on Saturday, but the fixture could depend on the goodwill of the fans.
The Fleet may have to appeal for volunteers to help clear the terraces if the thaw doesn’t arrive in time. Club secretary Peter Danzey could call in a local referee if temperatures fail to rise, but intends leaving any pitch inspection until as late as possible.
Premier League referee Steve Bennett made the early decision to postpone the Kettering game last Saturday – originally brought forward from February 9, when Fleet will now host Histon.
Ebbsfleet drew 1-1 at Altrincham on the opening day of the season and manager Liam Daish said: "It’s a game that we are capable of winning. They are having a decent season themselves but we have got a bit about us at the moment and want to maintain our form."
