Ebbsfleet United striker Michael West set for Football League move
08:00, 14 June 2012
Michael West is set to follow top scorer Calum Willock out of Ebbsfleet.
The 21-year-old midfielder, a product of the youth team at Stonebridge Road, is in talks with three Football League clubs who are chasing his signature.
West (pictured), who was linked with Championship side Crystal Palace last season, has scored 32 goals in 121 games since making his debut against Crawley in March 2009.
As he is under 24 and has been offered new terms, Fleet will be seeking compensation if he does leave.
Fleet boss Liam Daish admitted: "The door is still open for Michael but it’s not about money now.
"It’s the opportunity to play in the Football League and I respect that.
"Things are still ongoing – one club looks favourite – but he is still talking and we will then have to negotiate a compensation package.
"He is another good young player who we have put a lot of time and effort into his development."
