Ebbsfleet Unted loan striker Matt Godden is pleased to be seeing some action following move from Scunthorpe United

Matt Godden is relishing his chance to shine at Ebbsfleet after returning home to the county which kick-started his football career.
The 21-year-old Scunthorpe striker had already been training with the Fleet for several weeks before agreeing a one-month loan at Stonebridge Road.
Brought off the bench during Saturday’s home game against Hyde, Godden marked his debut in memorable style when he pounced to score the winning goal.
He said: “You couldn’t ask for a much better debut. Every striker that comes on wants to score and for it to happen on my debut was a bonus.
“You can’t beat the feeling of knowing you’re going to be involved on a Saturday. It had been almost a year since I’d had that.”
Born in Canterbury, Godden spent his formative footballing years with Kennington and Deal.
He said: “My parents live in Faversham so I’m only 25 minutes away from Ebbsfleet. It was the ideal club for me.
“If I’m scoring goals and Scunthorpe want me back, then I’ll do that but if I can stay down here for another month, then I’ll happily extend it.”
