Elderly pair hurt in crash in New Barn Road, Southfleet, near Gravesend

Two people in their 80s were left trapped in their car following a crash.
The emergency services were called to an accident involving two cars on New Barn Road, Southfleet near Gravesend just before 6.30pm last night.
A man and a woman, both in their early 80s, were trapped inside one of the cars.
Firefighters had to remove the doors of the vehicle to gain access to the driver and passenger.
The pair were assessed by paramedics, before they were released by the fire crew. They were then transferred into ambulances and taken to hospital.
Firefighters left the scene at 7pm.
