Emergency services called to Knockhall Chase, Greenhithe after pedestrian hit by bus

A pensioner has been left seriously injured after reportedly losing her footing and falling into the path of a bus.
The woman, thought to be in her 70s, was struck in Knockhall Chase, Greenhithe just after midday.
She is said to have ended up trapped beneath the vehicle.
Emergency services including police, paramedics, firefighters and the air ambulance were called to the scene.
Crews are said to have used air bags to lift the bus and free the woman.
She was then taken to King's College Hospital in London in a serious condition.

Knockhall Chase was closed for several hours while accident investigation work was carried out.
Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "Kent Police was called at 12.20pm on Thursday 30 November 2017 to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a bus in Knockhall Chase, Greenhithe.
"Serious injuries have been reported. Emergency services are currently at the scene and a road closure is in place."
Ambulance service spokesman Rich Airey said: "We attended the scene after receiving a call at 12.10pm that a pedestrian had been injured in a collision.
"Two ambulance crews and two paramedic cars attended, with a critical care paramedic."
"The woman was injured by a bus and received emergency treatment at the scene.
"She has been taken to King's College Hospital with serious injuries."
Arriva spokesman Zara Lewis said: "Arriva can confirm that at 12:20pm there was a bus incident involving a passenger who has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the passenger and her family at this time. Police are carrying out an Investigation into the cause of the incident. "
