A six-car crash which caused major delays on the A2 has been cleared.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called just before 10am to the coast-bound carriageway near Singlewell, Gravesend.

One person was said to have been trapped in a car during the incident.

All lanes had reopened by midday and traffic has returned to normal.

Police and ambulance crews are also at the scene.
