An estate agent has donated new laptops to two schools.
Mac Cheema, managing director of Keller Williams-Meldone Estates, gave the devices to Saint George's Secondary School and Cecil Road Primary School, in Gravesend, last week.
The donation is part of the 'Computers for Schools' initiative, set up by Stephen Brown, founder of SJB Consultancy and Jerry Lyons, an estate agent content creator.
It sees letting agents from across the country purchase and donate tablets and laptops to children and families who don't have access to IT devices when working from home during lockdown.
Mac was supported by Agents Giving, the industry charity for property agents and letting companies, which is backing the donation drive across the UK. The schools each received an Asus laptop.
He said: "I had the pleasure to donate a new laptop to St George's School and Cecil Road Primary School to assist their pupils and improve opportunities for their futures.
"As a former pupil of Cecil Road, it gave me immense pleasure to support the local community.
"I am extremely happy to help out the local schools."
Deputy head of Saint George's, Michelle Smith, said: "We are so appreciative that the local business community, despite the challenges faced in the current climate, is giving back to local schools and enabling our students to benefit from access to another laptop.
"Mac and his company truly represent the values that we teach Saint George's students of stewardship and thankfulness.
"Thank you again to Mac and the charity Agents Giving for the generous donation of a brand new laptop."
