Five teenagers arrested after boys have mobile phones stolen in Gravesend and Rochester

Five teenagers have been arrested after young boys in two north Kent towns were robbed of their mobile phones.

A 12-year-old boy had his phone stolen on Rochester Bridge at 4.30pm last Friday and a 15-year-old boy was targeted in Stone Street, Gravesend, an hour later.

The younger victim also had cash stolen.

Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy, and three 16-year-old boys on suspicion of robbery and all have been released under investigation.

Enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to talk to anyone who may have been driving from Rochester towards Strood and may have witnessed the first incident.
