Ebbsfleet can extend their winning streak to six games when Skrill South strugglers Gosport visit Stonebridge Road this weekend.

Gosport have picked up just one of a possible 15 points on the road this season following their promotion from the Southern League.

That means the Fleet start Saturday’s game as big favourites but experience has taught manager Steve Brown to take nothing for granted.

Ebbsfleet’s form has picked up in recent weeks but they’ve already dropped points at home to Havant, Maidenhead, Bath, Chelmsford and Boreham Wood.

Victory over attack-minded leaders Eastleigh last Tuesday bucked the trend.

Brown said: "Gosport will come here and I imagine they’ve have looked at our last few results and they’ll try not to lose.

"The difference between the Baths, the Maidenheads, the Gosports and Eastleigh is that Eastleigh tried to win here.

"I’ve got to give the players a different perspective on the Gosport game. I certainly don’t think they’re going to be anywhere near as adventurous as Eastleigh were."

On-loan striker Andy Pugh should be fit after recovering from an ankle injury and Ebbsfleet are still keen to extend his one-month loan from Cambridge United.

Daryl McMahon (ankle) limped out of last weekend’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Eastbourne but he should be fit. Fellow midfielder Dean Rance is suspended, though.
