Forensics have left the scene where a body was found last weekend.
A green tent has been in place at the site in Thames Way, Gravesend, since Monday.
The tragic discovery was made in a wooded area next to a walkway on Sunday, just after 4pm.
Kieran Reeves, 25, from Gravesend, spotted the body in a blue sleeping bag whilst walking home from work.
It was found just yards away from an Asda supermarket.
Kent Police spokesman Jordan Bluer said the death was being treated as unexplained but it was not yet clear whether it was suspicious.
There has been no confirmation as to whether the body is a man or a woman.
Thames Way connects the outskirts of Gravesend with Northfleet.
