Youngsters from Gravesend win fancy dress prizes as they go dressed as freaky Alice in Wonderland characters

These youngsters got prizes for their inventive Halloween costumes when they went to a fancy dress party as Alice in Wonderland characters.

They went along to a special Halloween and firework party which was held at Denton Social Club last Saturday dressed as various people from the famous book.

Madison Brown 11, who is a pupil at Thameview Secondary School, went as the Mad Hatter and her sister Miley nine, who goes to Singlewell Primary School got dressed up Queen of Hearts.

Their cousin, Libbie Goodwin, 10, who is a pupil at Tymberwood Academy, went as the Cheshire Cat.

Miley's best friend, Summer Foord seven, who also goes to Singlewell primary, got made up as Alice and as a group they won prizes in the fancy dress competition at the club, in Raphael Road, Gravesend.

Mum to Madison and Miley, Laura Brown, 35, of Wilberforce Way, Gravesend, said: "I had the costumes so we just made them a bit more spooky.

"They won second and third place as a group, the winner was a little boy dressed as Chucky.

"Everyone has a wicked time."
