A fundraiser has been set up for a young girl who was seriously injured in a crash between her school bus and a tractor.
Grace Tutt was airlifted to hospital with life-changing injuries following the crash in Meopham, near Culverstone Green, three months ago.
Grace was one of 12 children injured in the crash on the A227 South Street, at around 3.25pm on May 22.
The 12-year-old remains in hospital and is receiving specialist care and treatment.
She has a long and challenging recovery ahead of her.
A family friend has set up the fundraiser to help Grace and her family, which raised more than half the £100,000 target less than 24 hours after going online.
The page is also to give people a platform to leave messages of encouragement and support for Grace.
Since being set up on August 22, it has raised more than £117,000.
Grace and her parents say they have been touched by the enormous generosity from their friends and local community.
Her family added that they have been “heartened by an outpouring of local messages of love and support”.
Ian Peters, a partner at specialist personal injury law firm Anthony Gold, is instructed by Grace’s family to secure an award for damages to help Grace with her recovery and fund her ongoing care and rehabilitation needs.
The family plan to put aside any monies raised by their friend’s generous initiative until such time as Grace can decide how she would like to use it.

Following the crash, a 33-year-old man from East Sussex was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He was later bailed and this has been extended until June 1, 2025, pending further investigation.
