Two garages were destroyed and four cars were severely damaged in a blaze in Swanscombe today.

Firefighters were called to Milton Street, at 11.25am, and two vehicles were said to be well alight as crews arrived.

They were on the scene for an hour and a half battling the blaze.

Both garages suffered extensive damage by the fire, smoke and heat, and four cars were left severely damaged. The cause of the blaze isn't yet known.
