Archers compete in the four-way county match held at Meopham School
Bowmen and women from across the south east converged on Meopham on Sunday to take part in Kent’s first outdoor four-way county match of the archery season.
The annual fixture pits Kent against Essex, Middlesex and London county archery organisations and it was Kent’s turn to host the competition, with the Kent Archery Association choosing Gravesend Archers’ ground at Meopham School for the occasion.
Kent finished second to Middlesex in the recurve competition, with Essex third and London fourth.
However, in the compound discipline Kent were victorious with Essex second, Middlesex third and London fourth. Gravesend Archers return to action with a Mid-Kent League fixture against Ferryfield Bowmen on Sunday.
