Gravesend (red) go on the attack against Blackheath on Saturday
Hannah Kitchener scored Gravesend Ladies 1sts consolation as they lost 6-1 at home to Blackheath in East Women’s League Division 2 South on Saturday.
The visitors raced 4-0 ahead by half-time and despite some fine saves from player-of-the-match Lucy Allinson, added two more after the break before Kitchener turned in Karen Howell’s drive.
Matt Lucas scored twice but Gravesham lost a five-goal thriller at Marden 2nds in Kent Open Premier A.
Gravesham took the lead against the run of play when Dan Knight found Lucas to crash home from 12 yards but Marden turned the game on its head before half-time.
Lucas fired an equaliser after the restart but the hosts grabbed the points from a short corner.
