Gravesend Ladies allowed a one-goal lead to slip as they went down 2-1 at Canterbury 3rds in East Women's League Division 2 South on Saturday.
Kerry Jewiss put the visitors ahead in the first half following a superb reverse stick sweep but two quick goals gave Canterbury the win, despite late attempts at an equaliser by Jewiss and Lucy Darbon.
Gravesham defeated Old Bordenians 3rds 5-1 to continue their fine start to the Kent Premier A season.
James Bonner opened the scoring, rounding off a slick move and despite dominating the first half, it was not until the stroke of half-time that Martin George strode through, played a neat one-two and scored to double the advantage.
Sam Drake and Chris Bradley added further goals in the second half before Bonner made it 5-0 with his second. Bordenians grabbed a late consolation goal.
