Gravesend maintained top spot in London 1 South after a 15-3 win over Tunbridge Wells at Rectory Fields on Saturday.
The hosts lost Rob Hussy to the sin-bin, for playing the ball on the ground, before the breakthrough eventually arrived when Ziggy Stevens crossed for a try on the half-hour.
Gs were penalised for being offside at a maul, which allowed the visitors to reduce the deficit at the interval.
The hosts again pinned back Wells after the break but they could not find the penetration their dominance warranted.
Clement eventually freed Matt Weighman to cross and Dorton added the extras for a 12-3 lead. He later added a penalty to make the game safe.
