Gravesham produced a fine second-half fightback to earn a 1-1 draw at Sevenoaks 3A in Kent Open Premier A.
The visitors found it tough going early on and only a combination of desperate defending and fine goalkeeping kept the match goalless.
The breakthrough was inevitable, though, and the hosts took the lead after 15 minutes when a fine move down the right led to a tap-in.
As the half progressed, the visitors came to terms with their opponents’ tactics and created several chances of their own.
After the interval and a change of formation, Gravesham had Oaks on the rack and levelled the score when James Bonner skipped past several defenders, fired a reverse-stick shot towards goal which rebounded for Dan Knight to flick past the keeper.
Knight and Jack Bowsher each scored a brace as the 2nds continued their good form with a 5-2 victory over Holcombe 5ths.
Graham Russell added another goal to keep Gravesham second in the Kent Open Division 1, behind unbeaten University of Kent.
