Northfleet Co-op staff and customers pelted with eggs by group of youngsters in Dene Holm Road

Police are investigating after a group of youths ran into a Co-op store and egged staff and customers.
The incident happened at around 8pm on Saturday in Dene Holm Road, Northfleet, near Gravesend.
One resident, who wants to remain anonymous, says there was around four to five youngsters who ran into the shop, picked up eggs from the shelves and launched them around, leaving yolk and shell behind.
"I visited the morning after to get some bits and it was an absolute mess, there was no cleaners in so it's all just on the floor," he added.
"There was mess everywhere – down the aisles, on the floor, on the tills and behind the tills where the cigarettes are.
"It used to be such a nice little quiet area, but it's getting worse with disgusting things like this. I really fear for the elderly people around who visit the shops on their own."
Police spokesman James Walker said: "Police were called at around 7.40pm on Saturday to reports a group of young people were behaving antisocially in the Riversdale and Dene Holm Road areas of Northfleet.
"Officers attended and conducted a search of the area. They also reviewed CCTV and spoke with witnesses at the scene.
"Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing."
Dene Holm care home, just up the road from the co-op, also confirmed there was a small fire in a bin near one of their garages, which the fire serivce attended to at around 7.20pm. However, the cause is not known yet.
Spokesman for the fire service Antony Masters said: "We were called to a small amount of rubbish alight in a bin by the garage of a property in Dene Holm Road, Northfleet.
"The fire was out when firefighters arrived but it was still smoking so crews used a hose reel jet to fully extinguish. One fire engine was dispatched."
