CCTV shows woman stealing hanging plant baskets in Gravesend
00:01, 25 June 2018
CCTV footage has emerged online showing a woman stealing 10 hanging plant baskets in Northfleet.
The incident took place just after midnight on Wednesday, June 6. In the clips, a lady can be seen walking through May Avenue Industrial Estate before picking up the hanging baskets and walking off towards Perry Street.
The theft wasn’t reported to police, and the items have not yet been returned to the owner, despite a plea on social media.
Scott Scuddles, 42, of Northfleet, who owns Air Brake Connections where the plants were stolen from, was shocked when he saw the footage.
He said: “We were surprised that someone would be so low as to take artificial plants. It wasn’t the fact the plants had gone missing, but was more to the point of the principle of the matter.
“The person in question deserves her five minutes of fame with her photo and video aired.”
