Hartley Country Club remain second in the Kent League Premier Division after failing to make any inroads against leaders Bromley last Saturday.
The home side emerged with a winning draw to increase their lead over second-placed Hartley to 15 points.
Min Patel, pictured, was Hartley’s most effective bowler, taking two wickets and conceding just 33 runs from his 15 overs, as Bromley reached 251-8 from 55 overs.
Hartley never recovered from a shaky start. They were 16-3 at one stage with James Hockley and Grant Sheen both back in the pavilion without troubling the scorer.
An unbeaten 75 not out from Hockley’s opening partner David Thompson provided the backbone of the innings as Hartley held out on at 221-8.
