Hartley Country Club were among the runs again on Saturday, although not surprisingly they were unable to match their record-breaking exploits of the previous weekend in the Shepherd Neame Kent League Premier Division.

After piling up a league record total of 540-1 against Gore Court, Hartley had to settle for 319 all out against Tunbridge Wells – but it was still good enough to earn them a 213-run victory.

James Hockley (pictured) and Justin Raymond-Guillen again featured in a big opening stand for Hartley, although this time it was Raymond-Guillen who took the lead role.

The Trinidadian cracked 141 while Hockley, who had hammered an unbeaten 283 seven days earlier, this time made a more modest 65 as the pair put on 120 for the first wicket.

Wells then hit back through Mark Smith (5-43) to ensure Hartley did not repeat their Gore Court exploits, but when the visitors batted their resistance was brief as they were bowled out for 106 in 28.4 overs with Andrew Tutt taking 4-30. Hartley remain second in the table, one point behind Bromley who defeated Sevenoaks by seven wickets.
