Kelly Duncan and Kerry Heasman head off to Iceland in team ‘Ice Ice Boobies’ to fight breast cancer

Two mothers are taking part in a midnight walk across Iceland in the fight against breast cancer.
Known as team ‘Ice Ice Boobies’, Kelly Duncan, 38, and Kerry Heasman, 37, will be walking 26 miles in decorated bras around Lake Myvatan, Iceland, from June 16 to 20.
Mrs Duncan, of Mill Road, Dartford, has taken part in the MoonWalk Iceland marathon for the past four years, but this year is undertaking the eight-hour trek, which starts at midnight, with Mrs Heasman.
Mrs Duncan said: “Kerry has watched my Moonwalk journeys from the start and felt the need to join me, so this year I have convinced her to put her bra on and train hard to complete this challenge with me.
“It’s a very good way of showing our daughters that despite being busy working mums you can achieve anything when you put your mind to it.”
The two also work for Trans Global Freight Management, in Greenhithe, who are sponsoring their trip to cover their travel and entry fees.
They are raising money for Walk the Walk, the largest grant-making breast cancer charity in the UK, and those participating in the challenge are subsequently raising money for other charities and organisations.
A colleague and friend of theirs died of breast cancer last year.
Mrs Duncan said: “Being a similar age to us, it brings it home to you why you do this.
“The feeling when you cross that finish line is hard to describe but so worth all the effort.”
The team is aiming to reach a £10,000 target and already has more than £9,000.
Mrs Duncan said: “If we achieve our target of £10,000 it will be amazing to know that we have done even a small bit to help this charity.”
