Cobham Community Stores in Gravesend offering customers free drinks as an act of kindness

A store manager is spreading kindness by offering free tea and coffee to shoppers.
Sevie Ashby, from Cobham Community Stores near Gravesend took to Facebook this morning saying she will be giving away free refreshments.
In return, the mum-of-three asked for the act of kindness to be paid forward to somebody else.
Sevie has always been involved with Cobham, she said: "I just made it up on the spot really.
"With all of the horrible news about the coronavirus going around at the moment, I just wanted to do something for the community to help with the worry.
"I just feel that if I can make one person smile today and do something kind then I've done my job."
Cobham Community Stores sells groceries, local produce such as meat, dairy and baked goods .
The building was built in 1411, and has been used as a shop for more than 150 years.
Sevie said: "The shop is powered by our 15 volunteers and five paid staff.
"The store was originally opened by the locals in the village who all chipped in shares. All our profits go back into the store whether its for stock, pay or maintenance."
The Cobham Community Stores is open Monday to Friday 7.30am until 6pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 8am until 1pm.
