Ebbsfleet United have injury concerns about strikers Calum Willock (pictured) and Jacob Erskine as they bid to stay on course for the play-offs.

After goals from Michael West and Tom Phipp secured the points in a 2-0 win over Staines Town on Tuesday night, Fleet return to home soil this weekend sitting third in Blue Square Bet South.

They now have a five-point cushion between them and the final play-off position.

Manager Liam Daish’s only worries will be niggling injuries to Willock and Erskine ahead of their home game against relegation-threatened St Albans City on Saturday.

Daish hopes his front-line, boosted by the arrival of Jody Banim from Droylsden last week, will have what it takes to drive them to promotion this season.

"We have a few options in attack and Scott Ginty is coming back now," said Daish. "Scott has played a couple of games but he needs more matches and I don’t think we’ve got enough left to see him completely sharp.

"Hopefully what we’ve got is enough to see us through but only time will tell. I have belief in the players and they need to believe in themselves until the end of the season."

St Albans are five points adrift of safety and Daish knows they will be coming to defend in depth.

He said: "We’ve found at home that teams come and set out a certain way and it’s important for us to get our noses in front early on to make it easy on ourselves but it will be a difficult game."
