Suspected Gravesend knifepoint robber appears in court

A man who allegedly committed a knifepoint robbery has appeared in court.
A member of staff and a customer in a shop in Livingstone Road, Gravesend, were threatened with a knife before an offender stole cash from the till.
It all happened at 8.40pm on Friday, May 13.
Police were called and a knife and some clothing were recovered near the scene.
On Monday, Gavin Jarvis, of Palmer Avenue, Gravesend was arrested. The 29-year-old was later charged with robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
Jarvis appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on June 28.
