All lanes have reopened following a serious collision on the A2.
Lanes one and two were closed following the incident near Swanscombe, just outside Gravesend, on the London bound carriageway.
It was the second major accident this morning, after the M2 was shut due to a car fire near Faversham.
Kent Police spokesman Nicola Forman said: "Police were called at 10am to the A2 London bound near Swanscombe, following reports of a collision involving four vehicles."
Two patients, one of whom was suffering from chest pain, have been taken to Medway Maritime Hospital for further checks and treatment.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: "KFRS was called to reports of a crash involving three HGVs and three cars.
"Two fire engines attended and fortunately no one was trapped, so no action was required by firefighters."
