Passengers in a car which reportedly rolled several times on the A2 before hitting barriers had a lucky escape on Saturday.
Firefighters from Thameside were called to the scene on the London-bound carriageway of the motorway just after the Pepper Hill junction at 2.50pm this afternoon.
But all passengers in the car were safe and well when emergency services arrived and treated for only cuts and bruises by an ambulance.
It is unclear how the incident occured but fire fighters said they believe the car rolled at least once before hitting a nearside barrier.
Thames-side fire fighters left soon after they arrived as there was no need for their cutting equipment.
