Everything from magic tricks to tea and mushroom kits will be on sale at a market for young entrepreneurs this weekend.
The Young Traders Market is at Gravesend Borough Market, just off the High Street, this Sunday.
It will give young local entrepreneurs between 16 and 30 the chance to sell their unique items, often designed and made by themselves.
Things on sale this weekend include an eclectic mix of baked goods, hot sauces, handmade cards, magic tricks, speciality teas, clothing and more.
One trader is Elliot Webb from Urban Farm, who will be selling grow your own mushroom kits.
His aim is to encourage a positive shift in culture around food production and consumption.
Elliot said: “I am a mad grower and teacher of my alternative methods, based in England. I have always had a passion for the natural world and the bounty it can produce.
"On completion of my BSc degree in aquaculture and fisheries management, I sought a career in traditional fish farming where I experienced first-hand the impact that such a supply chain can have on the environment and quality of our food. Frustrated by the productivity gap between commercial farming technology and home level production, I sought a solution."
Working initially from a shed, much trial and error followed, but he's now selling kits so people can have a go at growing their own mushrooms at home.
He said: “I love to see the results and joy that trying my products brings to people.”
The market, backed by the National Market Traders Federation and Go Trade Funding, runs from 10am to 3pm.
