A town centre road has been hit by flooding after a major leak.
The Terrace in Gravesend is flooded between Queen Street and Harmer Street.
This comes as South East Water has imposed a hosepipe ban across Kent and Sussex from Friday, August 12 until further notice.
The leak is a few roads away from a postcode where Southern Water plans to isolate the supply on Friday, August 5 between 11-2pm.
A spokesman for Southern Water said: “We are sorry for the disruption caused by a burst water main that occurred at around 4.30am today in The Terrace.
"Our team was onsite this morning and will make the repair as quickly as possible.
"To keep the road open while ensuring the safety of workers and road users, traffic management will be in place.
"We’d like to thank the customer who told us about this leak."
"We apologise for any delays this may cause.
“We’d like to thank the customer who told us about this leak.
"We’re investing heavily in intelligent network technology to help us locate leaks faster, but customers still provide a vital service by alerting us.”
