Man arrested following mattress fire at The Granby Hotel, Northfleet

A man has been arrested following a blaze in a hotel.
Fire crews were called to The Granby Hotel, Northfleet, on Friday, February 17, and found a mattress alight in one of the rooms.
Two fire engines attended at around 10.30pm and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported and crews left after an hour later.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman added: "It is believed the fire was started deliberately."
Police officers were called by the service at 12.40am on Saturday, February 18, and a man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the incident.
He was later bailed to return to the police station on May 16.
