Police were alerted to a suspicious Fiat Ducato van at 7.42pm on Friday, May 25, in Rabbits Road, South Darenth.
The van drove away from the patrol and was subsequently found in Main Road, Longfield, where it had reportedly struck three vehicles and come to a halt.
A 22-year-old man from Orpington, who was found nearby, was arrested on suspicion of going equipped to steal, dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and no insurance.
