Gravesend man charged with attempted murder

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was seriously assaulted.
Officers were called to an initial report that a woman had been involved in a collision with a car in Dering Road at 10.07am, on Sunday, May 13.
Following the incident, Patrick Molloy was identified as a suspect and detained on suspicion of attempted murder.
The 28-year-old, of Springhead Road in Northfleet, has been charged with attempted murder, driving a motor vehicle without a licence, using a motor vehicle without third party insurance, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, criminal damage.
The victim, who is known to Molloy, was taken to a London hospital for treatment and her injuries are not life threatening.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court later today.
