A Romanian man climbed over a fence and fell 11ft onto live tracks before being hit by a train, an inquest has heard.
His body was identified by British Transport Police and a post-mortem said the 23-year-old, who lived at Covesfield in the town, died of cerebral trauma and multiple injuries due to a train collision.
A full inquest into Mr Stoica's death was adjourned until June 12 at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone.
Southeastern had cancelled all services between Strood and Dartford due to the incident.
