Man found with stab wound after assault near Gravesend Promenade

A man in his 20s is in a serious but stable condition after being found with a stab wound to his stomach.
Police believe the assault took place at about 3.45pm yesterday near Gravesend Promenade, in a park area off Ordnance Road.
The man has been taken to a London hospital and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Kent Police's Crime Scene Investigation Team tweeted yesterday from the scene.
Police spokesman Martin Very said: "A police cordon was placed at the scene and inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who has information that may assist the investigation to call Kent Police on 01474 366149, quoting reference 46/114304/19.
