Travis Smith appears in court accused of murdering cousin Danny Wallis in Gravesend

A 23-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of "gentle giant" Danny Wallis.
Homeless Travis Smith is accused of killing 29-year-old Mr Wallis – his cousin - who was found dead at his home in Clarence Row, Gravesend, on May 31.
Smith was arrested after officers were called to a flat in Gravesham Court.
He appeared today before Judge Philip Statman at Maidstone Crown Court, and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on August 14 when it is expected he will enter his plea.
A date was also set for his trial which will take place before Judge Statman on November 23.
Smith’s barrister Lee Sergent said it was likely a bail application would be made at a later date. He also said psychiatric and psychological reports were to be obtained.
