A man who died after a crash on the M25 had got out of his car and was hit by a heavy goods vehicle, an inquest has heard.
Patrick Dominic, from Gravesend, was killed after he was involved in a crash on Monday, October 15.
He got out of his car after the collision and was struck by a large good vehicle, an inquest heard this morning.
It happened between Brentwood, Essex, at Junction 28 on the A12 and Junction 27 on the M11 just before midnight.
The 48-year-old died instantly.
A post-mortem at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, on Wednesday, October 24, concluded the cause of death to be serious traumatic injuries.
The incident caused the motorway to be shut for 10 hours, causing heavy delays on the M25 and Dartford Crossing.
The full inquest will be heard on Tuesday, April 9, next year.
