Jaroslav Kuru to appear at Maidstone Crown Court after youngster left with head injuries in Ordnance Road, Gravesend

An 18-year-old man will appear at crown court next week in connection with an alleged robbery that left another youngster in hospital with head injuries.

Jaroslav Kuru, of Silver Road, Gravesend, has been charged with robbery and possession of a knife in relation to the incident in Ordnance Road, near Gravesend’s popular promenade, at around 7.20pm on Wednesday July 27.

The victim, also thought to be 18, was taken to Darent Valley Hospital and three boys, two aged 17 and one aged 16, and two men, one aged 25 and one aged 18, were arrested.

All five were released without charge on August 12 and Kuru was arrested on August 25.

He has since been charged and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday October 7.
