Train services between London Bridge, Gravesend and Dartford delayed after person hit by train

Commuters in Kent faced long delays into London after a man was hit by a train.

Lines between London Bridge, Gravesend, Dartford and Rainham were affected by the incident.

Emergency services were called to Dartford Station at around 4.10pm.

A tweet from Southeastern said: "A person has regrettably been hit by a train, and trains between London Bridge and Dartford are being disrupted at the moment.

"As soon as we have more information we will provide a further update #SEDisruption."

British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman, Daisy Collingwood, said: "Officers were called to Dartford station at 4.13pm yesterday after reports of a casualty on the tracks.

"Paramedics also attended and a man in his thirties was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious."

Lines between Dartford and London Bridge were reopened at around 6pm, however, commuters on the Woolwich, Bexleyheath and Sidcup lines faced disruption until the end of the day.
